Fantastic food! We had the mixed ceviche and the coconut shrimp. We also had the margarita and horchata as drinks, and they were both incredible. Portions are big, and they are reasonably priced. Very wonderful and friendly service. The place is hidden upstairs and you have to take the stairs in the alley to go up, but the place is beautiful at night! 10/10 hidden gem in Isla.
Local spot hidden in la colonia with a beautiful rooftop view. This family owned business has a nice casual atmosphere and offers fresh seafood options. The best Aquachile on the island so far and their grilled tuna steak was delicious. Service is excellent! We will be back and we learned about some special menu favorites from the owner as well as their happy hour from 4:00pm-7:00pm 2x1 drinks. We’re looking forward to going back for sunset, ceviche, and the special grouper in white wine and portobello cream sauce! Love the family vibe. Gracias!
The fish and shrimp ceviche were absolutely unreal. One of the highlights of our trip! The place is tucked away but the highest patio is breezy and has a cool view of the island. Service is excellent.
What a good place. They have a third floor overlooking the whole island. It is possibly the island’s best hidden gem. This pic is a mix of the chicken cordon bleu and the fried fish fillet. Both were top notch!
La casa del ceviche is off the beaten path on the southern end of the island in La Gloria, they escort you upstairs, to a beautiful sitting area with amazing rooftop views.....but that is not the best part. The staff goes out of their way to make you comfortable and happily serve the best mojitos around! I dare you to try their fish ceviche-you won't be disappointed. Every dish we had, had impeccable flavor and they changed the music to suit our American tastes. Our children used the binoculars to view the island from above while the adults watched their amazement. The staff cannot be praised enough as we enjoyed our time there and WILL BE BACK! The food was excellent, the cocktails were great at reasonable prices. The service was absolutely perfect, and the view was truly amazing. For me, this restaurant was one of the best vacation experiences ever!
Great views from the roof top! We got food to go. The ceviche was amazing! Also the guacamole! The owner was very nice and personable. We love this little hidden gem. Very reasonable prices and portions were plentiful.
We asked our waiter if there was a traditional fish dish from Isla mujeres and he had the kitchen prepare us an incredible plate w two fillets and sauteed peppers/onions, a side of rice, and a serving of tortillas. We started with the fish ceviche and split everything. Everything was so fresh and delicious and the service was outstanding! (I forgot to take a picture of the fish platter.)
